Prof. P. P. Mathur, VC, KIIT was nominated and elected for a three-year term as the Vice President of the Asian Association of Andrology headquartered at Shanghai, China. He was also invited to attend the Asian Association of Andrology Meeting in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai to deliver a keynote address (22–24 April, 2016). He is the only Indian Scientist selected for such an honor. He was also as the Deputy Director of the Diagnosis and Treatment Guideline Writing Committee of Asian Association of Andrology.

Prof. Mathur has also been nominated as the General Secretary for the year 2016-19 of ISCA, which is the oldest association of science academicians and scientists of India.

Prestigious Asutosh Mookerjee Memorial Award to KIIT VC

Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) has conferred the Asutosh Mookerjee Memorial Award on Prof. P. P. Mathur, Vice Chancellor, KIIT. He received the honour at the hands of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India at the inaugural session of the 103rd Indian Science Congress in Mysuru on January 3, 2016. The Award carries a gold medal. It is the most prestigious award of ISCA to honour distinguished scientists of the country. Prof. Mathur was given the award for his key role in the development of science and technology, specifically in the area of biochemistry and molecular biology. The honour is given in memory of Sir Asutosh Mookerjee, who was the first General President of ISCA and a great educationist of the country.
