Satyashiva Das, a 4th Year B.Tech student of Electronics and Telecommunication of KIIT University, has been selected for the Teach for India Fellowship. Teach for India (TFI), a national movement founded in 2007, selects about 300 outstanding college graduates and young professionals who are then placed in low-income schools in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai. It aims to narrow the educational gap in India by placing the country’s most outstanding college graduates and young professionals, of all academic majors and careers, in low-income schools to teach full-time for two years. TFI’s selection process is rather rigorous and only 7.5 percent of the applicants made it into the program in 2012.

Satyashiva is also an International Climate Champion for British Council, President (Marketing) for University ENACTUS (formerly SIFE) TEAM and also the Student Coordinator for KRONICLE, the literary society of KIIT University.
