DESCRIPTION:Aim:  \nThe main aim or purpose for conducting such a program is to enhance the knowledge of student and motivate them to compete in the global competitive engineering field. \nAbout Project Expo: \nThe objectives of Project Expo which was started in the year 2018 with an exceptional idea to showcase the research talents\, Innovativeness\, creativity of all final year B.Tech students. Prototype projects on recent societal issues with respect to better efficiency and low-cost product has been encouraged to the students. It is a platform to promote multidisciplinary research among all students of the school. \nIn the first level\, each school will conduct an expo to exhibit the student innovations. In next level (grand finale) only best 5 projects from different schools will participate. However\, additional projects will be nominated from schools for display of their projects. SUMMARY:Online International Conference on Covid19: Lives and Livelihood
DESCRIPTION:As we know\, India has a high population density combined with poor hygiene standards and creaky health infrastructure\, which makes it more vulnerable to the pandemic. Recently\, COVID-19 has spread over 210 countries\, infecting beyond 2 million people\, with more than 1\,37\,000 fatalities. The only remedy which is available with government till now is to keep the country under lockdown condition which gives rise to an alarming question: “whether to extend the lockdown and divert resources to save lives? Or\, should the attempt be to end the lockdown\, revive the economy and protect livelihood of the people? “There are no easy answers…\nQuestions hang heavy in the air; far too many with few or no answers coming from anywhere. The most pressing question is how long the lock- down would last. Even as economists warn that a longer lockdown would cause even more havoc to employment\, economy and livelihood\, the government’s dilemma is whether to save lives or livelihood in the short run.  \n  \nBy looking into the present scenario\, Rajiv Kumar\, Vice Chairman of NitiAayog gave a much convincing statement that “India should improve its disaster management preparation and ensure the availability of resources so that the country doesn’t have to choose between ‘lives and livelihood’ during crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic”. He also addressed a global conference organized by Bennett University titled “COVID 19 – Fallout & Future” where he said “I hope we will not have to continuously try this tradeoff or balance between saving lives and livelihoods”. So\, by far we can understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global crisis of present time and the greatest global humanitarian challenge the world has faced ever. DESCRIPTION:Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary is being celebrated by Ministry of AYUSH\, Govt. of India in the spirit of gratitude and inspiration to his contribution to humanity for promoting and practicing the basic human values such as Non-violence\, Nature Cure\, Sanitation and Health etc.  To mark the occasion Ministry of AYUSH is conducting 150 Nisargopchar Mahotsav across the country. In Odisha the programme is going to be held at KIIT University\, Bhubaneswar. The theme of the Nisargopchar Mahotsav is ‘Self Reliance through Self Health Reliance”\, a quote of Mahatma Gandhiji. \nThis Mahotsav is meant for the general public awareness and will be attended by Yoga and Naturopathy students\, physicians\, academicians and all naturopathy enthusiasts. The event shall host a multimedia relay/ screening  on Mahatma Gandhi and posters on Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution to the system of Nature Cure for the entire day of the camp. DESCRIPTION:Leaving no one behind itself draws our attention to the one of the most vulnerable sections of the society\, the differently-abled persons. Safeguarding their interests requires an entitlement monitoring of their actual needs rather than generalizing them with that of a common man. Given the fact that 2.68 crore population in India are affected by different forms of disabilities\, it is extremely vital that the design\, structure\, plan and implementation process of our schemes\, policies and programmes ensure cent percent inclusion of the differently abled persons living across all corners of our country. The fact that the PwDs are the most stringent victims of poverty and malnourishment also cannot be avoided. They are the worst sufferers of health hazards\, educational backwardness and remain economically down trodden. SUMMARY:Kalinga Global Film Festival\, In Association with (FFSI)
DESCRIPTION:Aim & ScopeThe fourth edition of the The Kalinga International Film Festival will now be known as Kalinga Global Film Festival (KGFF). \nThe objective of this film festival is to encourage and ignite young minds\, enrich intellectually inclined cineastes and promote aspiring film makers. KGFF intends to organise a festival that would connect regular movie goers\, budding filmmakers and the movie buffs with the distinguished film makers so as to bring about greater understanding of the art and craft of film making. \nThe fourth edition of the festival will be held from January 18 to 22\, 2020 at KIIT deemed to be University\, Odisha. The competition is open to films produced by the students/individuals between 1stNovember 2018 and 30thNovember 2019 with a maximum running time of 30 minutes. There is no fee for submission of the entries. \nEach submission must include a signed entry form.Eligibility : \nThe programme of the festival is broadly divided into the following category. \n1.1 Student Films/Films of independent film-maker (Competitive Section) \n1.2 Asian Window (A package of Asian Films) \n1.3 Country Focus (South Korea) \nKGFF is a juried competition open to any independent or student filmmaker worldwide.Works will be considered for competition only if they are within the running time of 30 minutes and were completed after 1stNovember\, 2018 and before 30thNovember 2019. \nAll qualified entries must have been independently produced and financed. Film Production farm\, major film studio or television network are not eligible for competition. The festival committee reserves the rights to determine the eligibility of any film. \nThe Jury can evolve their own rules for assessment of the entries. \nSubmission \nFilms can be submitted to KGFFvia the festival we transfer link or by providing a private downloadable link from a secured server. Film makers can also send their films directly to the given office address by courier or submit by hand. \nNB: We do not accept YouTube link as screener copy for consideration. Any submitted film that is currently uploaded in Youtube or any other social platforms will be directly disqualified. \nTo submit your film and /or any required materials via online file transfer\, we provide a We transfer link. Follow the on screen instruction for the file transfer. After successful submission you receive a conformation mail. Upload the scanned copy of the completely filled in entry form as well. Multiple submissions by the same director and production team are accepted but each film must be accompanied by a separate entry form. Unsigned entry forms will be rejected. \nTo submit your film via a private( secure and downloadable )online link provide a secure online link in the entry form.
