The economic slowdown of developed countries has affected the flow of funds making it highly volatile and uncertain. The banking sector crisis is also looming large with rising NPAs and emerging requirement of meeting Basel III standards. The absence of a well developed corporate bond market has further exacerbated the situation constraining the credit availability for the corporates and large infrastructure projects adversely affecting the growth of the country. At the other end of the spectrum the MSME and agricultural sector despite being considered as priority sector continues to largely depend upon informal lenders with high borrowing cost. DESCRIPTION:The “Kalinga International Film Festival”\, boasts of a unique status of being the only such festival being organized in the state of Odisha. \nDrawing inspiration from the Cannes International Film Festival\, the showcase of KIFF is the screening of various award winning and critically acclaimed movies from nationally and internationally renowned directors. \nThe base objective behind organizing the 3rd iteration of KIFF is to not only promote cinema as a means of entertainment\, but also to educate the masses regarding the intricacies involved in the art of film making. With a number of attractive events including theatre competition\, online short film competition etc\, KIFF offers an attractive platform for participants to showcase their talents in the fields of direction\, screen play\, cinematography\, acting etc. Along with this\, a multitude of workshops\, in the fields of photography and cinematography\, that will be organized over the course of the festival provide a magnificent opportunity to learn various tips and tricks of the trade. Along with this\, the main attractions of are a chance to meet stars and other influential and recognized personalities from the film fraternity and interact with them\, plus a DJ night on the penultimate day of the event. KIFF has all the right ingredients to be an educational and fun-filled carnival.

Prior to this other five editions were organized by BEC\, Bhubaneswar\, NIT Durgapur\, and KIIT University\, Bhubaneswar respectively. The idea of this series was conceived by few eminent professors and researchers of primer institutions of India. The first Edition of this\, FICTA 2012\, was organized by Bhubaneswar Engg. College (BEC)\, Bhubaneswar and after successful completion of this next one FICTA 2013 was also hosted by BEC. Due to its popularity and wide visibilities in entire country and abroad\, FICTA 2015 moved to prestigious NIT\, Durgapur to make a mark in India. Last year FICTA 2016 conducted at KIIT University\, Bhubaneswar. This year also\, FICTA 2017\, is planned to be organized by a world class University\, KIIT\, Bhubaneswar\, the temple city of Odisha. \n  \nFICTA 2017
