SUMMARY:5th National Rural Management Conclave
DESCRIPTION:ContextOver the years\, different development policies and programmes have brought a significant change in the life and livelihoods of people in rural India. However\, the rural-urban divide in the socio- economic conditions of people has been increasingly noticed. Interventions in rural contexts still lack innovation and collaboration. Moreover\, rural professionals get further challenged with uncertainty and risk aversiveness. Adaptation of technology\, improvement of skill matching to the needs of the emerging market and cost-effectiveness in livelihood interventions continue to be the grey areas in rural India. Moreover\, managing development links to multiple dimensions including education\, health\, environment\, climate change\, disasters\, skills\, and finance in contemporary times. In this context\, the role of Viksit Bharat 2047 of Government of India which promises to transform India towards a new world order of development\, seems to be very crucial. \nObjectiveThe overall objective of the conclave is to bring the leaders from development and business sectors into a common platform and discourse on various challenges and way forward with special reference to ‘Inclusive Rural Management in Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Innovation and Adaptation in CSR’. \n Register now for quizwizDownlaod Brochure

SUMMARY:15th National Marketing Konclave
DESCRIPTION:About Marketing KonclaveKonclaves serve as great platforms for knowledge sharing and co-creation between academia andindustry. Each year KIIT School of Management conducts different Konclaves i.e. National HRKonclave\, National Marketing Konclave and National Finance Konclave where leaders from differentareas deliver keynote speeches\, participate in different panel discussions and conduct area specificworkshops. These have proved to be a fountainhead of ideas with superb participation from theindustry\, academia\, and students. \nKonclave Theme: Marketing in the Age of Disruption: Thriving in a Changing LandscapeThe business world is no stranger to change. However\, the pace of disruption in recent years has been unprecedented\, driven by advancements in technology\, evolving consumer behaviour\, and a growing emphasis on social responsibility. This year’s 15th National Marketing Konclave\, organized by KIIT School of Management (KSOM)\, delves into this dynamic environment with the theme “Marketing in the Age of Disruption: Thriving in a Changing Landscape.” \nDisruption can be a double-edged sword. On one hand\, it can threaten established business models and render once-successful marketing strategies obsolete. A 2023 report by PwC\, “Strategy & Trends: Global CEO Survey 2023”\, highlighted how 73% of CEOs globally are concerned about the potential for disruption in their industries. Entire industries have been reshaped by disruptive forces\, with companies struggling to adapt or being overtaken by nimbler competitors. \nOn the other hand\, disruption also presents immense opportunities. Businesses that can anticipate and embrace change can develop innovative solutions and capture new market share. A 2023 McKinsey & Company\, “The State of Organizations 2023”\, emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of agility and experimentation within organizations. Companies that can quickly adapt their marketing strategies to changing consumer preferences and technological advancements are poised to thrive in the age of disruption. \nThe 15th National Marketing Konclave will explore how marketing is being disrupted across several key areas. As per the reports from Data Reportal\, “Digital 2024: Global Overview Report” the digital revolution has fundamentally transformed consumer behaviour\, with a staggering 4.66 billion people using social media in 2023. Marketers need to develop strategies that leverage these digital channels effectively. Disruption is also fuelled by the explosion of data and advanced analytics\, allowing for targeted and data-driven marketing strategies. \nFurthermore\, the traditional linear customer journey is a thing of the past. Today’s consumers navigate a complex path\, requiring marketers to develop a holistic understanding and create seamless omnichannel experiences. Finally\, in a disrupted marketplace\, customer experience (CX) is more important than ever. A recent study by Salesforce\, “State of the Connected Customer”\, found that 84% of customers say that the experience a company provides is as important as its products and services. The Conclave will thus explore strategies for designing and delivering exceptional customer experiences\, ensuring businesses can thrive in this dynamic environment. \nDownload Brochure

SUMMARY:15th National HR Konclave 2024
DESCRIPTION:15th National HR Konclave 2024\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuilding a sustainable inclusive future – the role of business: – Leveraging HR Technology for competitive advantage \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn today’s dynamic work environment\, HR’s focus has shifted towards fostering agility and adaptability rather than erecting barriers around employees. Increased uncertainties have propelled HR into strategic roles\, necessitating heightened collaboration between business leaders and HR professionals to drive organizational change effectively. Business leaders now rely extensively on HR partners to design workflows seamlessly integrating technology to empower employees. This includes managing transitions induced by automation\, enhancing digital literacy and upskilling to address talent shortages. Moreover\, HR plays a crucial role in facilitating employee engagement amidst the shift to remote work and in nurturing a culture of continuous learning and relationship-building. In this context\, the role of HR has never been more critical\, serving as a linchpin in navigating the intricacies of the modern workplace landscape. \n\nThe future of HR has shifted our focus from simply acquiring talent to cultivating and nurturing the talent we already have\, amidst the demographic tapestry of the workforce. It is HR’s role to strategize\, to promote digital well-being and foster healthy frontiers between professional and personal lives in a world where constant digital overload has also led to burnout and unbalanced life harmony\, creating a human cost of technology. Moreover\, HR also has to address ethical concerns raised by the growing use of AI in the workplace\, on employee privacy\, thereby mandating the protection of employee data rights. The employer-employee relationship is being redefined with every change\, with the all-pervasive theme being – trust. Non-traditional work arrangements need protections across workplaces. Individual priorities\, especially mental well-being have taken center stage. Personalized work experiences are being delivered by the HR leaders\, who are encouraging employees to provide feedback on landing self-driven well-being options. Leaders are not only working on the skills and competencies of their employees\, but are also working more towards identifying their ambitions and passions. The increased prominence of Environmental\, Social\, and Governance (ESG) initiatives in the corporate landscape are steered by the external markets and regulatory requirements\, but are also piloted by the internal expectations of employees and consumers. Employees and consumers are increasingly looking for palpable proof of their organization’s commitment to social responsibility. The evolving world of work is undergoing transformative shifts\, emphasizing trust\, personalization\, talent development\, AI integration\, and ESG initiatives. HR professionals are leading these changes\, playing a pivotal role in navigating this dynamic landscape. Their proactive efforts shape inclusive\, sustainable and technologically integrated workplaces\, fostering growth\, innovation\, and employee well-being. In essence\, HR stands as the vanguard in guiding businesses through the complexities of modern work.

SUMMARY:4th Indian Association The Subalterns in South Asia South Asian Studies (IASAS) International Conference
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT IASAS \nThe Indian Association for South Asian Studies (IASAS) is a scholarly and educational association open to all persons interested in South Asia and the study of South Asia. It is based in New Delhi\, India. The Association organises Biennial Conference\, regional conferences and other activities. It organizes conferences every year and three of its conferences have already been held in BHU Varanasi and Sri Lanka. \nABOUT THE CONFERENCE: \nThe term “subaltern\,” popularized by Antonio Gramsci\, conceptualized subaltern groups as those excluded from hegemonic power\, encompassing peasants\, workers\, and other marginalized factions. However\, in Subaltern Studies led by Ranajit Guha\, initiated as a post-colonial theory in India\, the term broadens to denote the quality of being subordinate in South Asian society\, irrespective of its manifestation in class\, caste\, age\, gender\, or office. The collective\, initially comprising scholars such as Shahid Amin\, David Arnold\, Partha Chatterjee\, David Hardiman\, and Gyanendra Pandey\, aimed to give voice to the historically marginalized. Subaltern Studies encompassed diverse subjects\, including history\, politics\, economics\, and sociology of subalternity\, along with associated perspectives\, ideologies\, and belief systems. The initiative aimed to counter elitist historiography by allowing subaltern voices to emerge within its pages\, representin and amplifying the voices of the oppressed. The theory posited that the elite in India did not merely have a hegemonic role but played a dominant one\, enabling the subaltern to be seen as independent historical actors. This perspective countered the notion that the subaltern were passive recipients of elite guidance\, emphasizing their independent agency within the political system. \nIn line with the subaltern understanding\, this conference extends a warm invitation to panels and paper submissions that specifically emphasize non-elite discourses. The conference aims to spotlight and explore narratives\, perspectives\, and voices that have traditionally been marginalized or overlooked in favour of dominant\, elite perspectives. Connecting historical studies to disciplines like gender studies\, cultural studies\, sociology\, economics\, demographics\, politics\, psychology\, and others are also welcome. By prioritizing non-elite discourses\, we aspire to create a space for critical discussions and insights that challenge established norms and contribute to a richer understanding of the diverse\, often unheard\, voices in South Asian societies. The conference hopes to be able to encourage more research by generating new perspectives by exploring new as well as alternative and evolving research ideas and methods. \nABOUT THE HOST ORGANIZATION: \nThe institute’s solemn academic ambience has led to grant of A-Category status to it by the Ministry of HRD\, Govt. of India\, placing it among the most elite universities of the country. It is accredited by NAAC of UGC in ‘A Grade’. Further\, it has received Tier 1 (Washington Accord) accreditation by NBA of AICTE for engineering streams. Washington Accord accreditation enables global recognition of degrees of the University and increased mobility of its graduates to 17 countries\, including USA\, UK\, Australia\, Canada and Japan South Korea. KIIT \nKIIT\, now\, is a multi-disciplinary University respected worldwide due to its rich educational culture of excellence. Research and innovation feed into the courses\, encouraging the students to think critically and creatively. Its cosmopolitan campus is proud to have more than 25\,000 students from all corners of India and around 22 countries\, creating a mini metropolis in which a diverse multi-cultural community mingles and meets to study and relax together. Student community of the University is highly disciplined due to its student friendly policies. KIIT University sprawls over 25 sq. km. area with one million square metres of aesthetically constructed built up area. There are 28 constituent schools\, contiguously located in impeccably landscaped and modern-technology-enabled campuses offering graduate\, post-graduate\, doctoral and post-doctoral programmes in a wide range of disciplines. KIIT started as a modest vocational education institute in 1992 in rented premises in Bhubaneswar. Our speech has an impact on how we think and see the world. According to this viewpoint\, language serves as both a tool for communication and a cognitive framework for organizing and interpreting our experiences. Different languages have different encoding schemes for information\, which causes speakers of those languages to see the world differently and concentrate on different facets of reality. Languages differ\, for instance\, in their representations of ideas like time\, space\, colour\, and interpersonal connections. \nThis webinar will provide platform to all the researchers\, Faculty members\, and academicians who are interested to pursue their research in Linguistics\, and learn about the world culture. SUMMARY:Faculty Development Program 2024
DESCRIPTION:About AIU-AADC\n\n\nAssociation of Indian Universities\, apex level representative body of universities and other higher education institutions in India. Invites proposals with expression of Interest (EOI) from the member universities for its newly introduced scheme- Academic and Administrative Development Centres to be established in select member universities. AADC is pioneering initiative of AIU which aims at organizing short-term training and capacity building programmes for the faculty members and administrative functionaries of Indian Universities and other HEIs. Introduced in 2022\, AADC are envisioned to function in a similar manner to the UGC Human Resource Development Centres operating in different universities. The focus of these centres is to provide training to faculty for online/blended mode of teaching learning\, developing e-content and using technology for continuous assessment and evaluation and research collaboration along with programmes on effective management using technology in governance and administration of universities \n\n\n\nAbout IEEE Industry Applications Society\n\n\nOne of the largest special interest societies within the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)\, the IAS focuses specifically on the unique needs of industry and commerce. IAS is a source of professional power to its 11\,000+ worldwide members. \n\n\n\nFDP Overview\n\n\nAs power transmission and distribution become more unpredictable\, power grid operators are compelled to increase their reliance on communication infrastructure for grid monitoring and control. Along with this\, Power Grids are confronting significant cyber-security challenges. This FDP will help the attendees to understand how power systems are affected by assaults that inject false datawhich can disrupt distributed control and lead to an imbalance in power supply and demand. Cybersecurity is a critical concern in the context of automation\, as the increasing reliance on automated systems introduces new challenges and risks. Automation systems often rely on software and hardware components that may have vulnerabilities. If these vulnerabilities are exploited\, attackers can gain unauthorized access\, disrupt operations\, or manipulate data. Weak or poorly implemented authentication mechanisms can allow unauthorized individuals to access automation systems. Additionally\, inadequate authorization controls may permit users to perform actions beyond their intended scope.

SUMMARY:NDIEAS-2024: International Symposium on New Dimensions and Ideas in Environmental Anthropology
DESCRIPTION:NDIEAS-2024: Discussions on environmental challenges frequently center around human dependence\, susceptibility\, and resilience. Yet\, the subject matter of the present anthropological discussion regarding the ecological framework would mainly concentrate on spatial advertising and scientific investigation. In this symposium\, the focus will be expanded to include human anthropology as a fundamental element of the political notion of environmental sustainability and the foundation for effective local\, national\, and global actions. Humanity’s survival entirely depends on the environment. However\, we further rely on sociopolitical and legal frameworks\, which are open to capture\, misdirection\, confusion. With this viewpoint in mind\, the panel discussion will look at how neoliberalism\, both international and national legal and political frameworks; and other factors have influenced\, how we perceive the world around us. It is going to capitalize on environmental anthropology’s observations as well as additional crucial elements to evaluate the spread of sustainable solutions to environmental issues and look at the ways in which forces like globalization and technological advancement might give people a “false” sense of invulnerability. While significant\, the assumptions of mitigation as well as adaptation require as well to be looked into. The expansion of industries\, greater manufacturing\, and consumerism are goals of globalization and another neoliberal socio-economic reconfiguration\, which has a tendency to encourage human abuse of the environment and reduce our ability to respond to issues related to the environment. \nFOCUS AREAS\nAreas of interest for submission include\, but are not limited to: \n\nEnvironmental Anthropology\nGreen Crime\nEco-Criticism\nWomen and Natural Resources\nSustainable development\nMitigating measures\nBiodiversity\nNeo-liberalism\nCircular Economy and Green Finance\nEnvironmental Social Governance(ESG)\nGreen Transition\nIndigenous groups and Environmental governance\n\nDr. Tulishree Pradhan\,\nAssistant Professor-II\, KIIT School of Law\nEmail: tulishreepradhan@kls.ac.in\nPh: +91 7744978720 \nPublication:\nThe Symposium proceedings will be published in; Advances in Social Science\, Education and Humanities \, Atlatis Press-Part of Springer Nature. SUMMARY:14th National Finance Konclave
DESCRIPTION:EVENT INTRODUCTION 14th National Finance Konclave\n\nBuilding a Sustainable Inclusive Future -A Finance Perspective\n\n\n\nTechnology has been a driving agent in building a financial ecosystem that is creating a drastic change in terms of innovation through technology. In the emerging world of technology-driven financial assistance\, no commercial entity can afford to operate in isolation. Creating a sustainable and inclusive economy demands a collective effort from all stakeholders. The development of an ecosystem that gives individuals the chance to use financial instruments in their ordinary routine and allows banks to effectively utilize the growth of fintech and non-financial firms operating within those remote locations is expected to be a major driver of financial inclusion in India. \nFintech has the potential to increase capital access for both banked and unbanked populations and help in liberalizing financial services. Considering the favorable response of the historical cash-based Indian economy to the fintech opportunity seen in increased acceptance and use of e-commerce and smartphones. Fintech has also led to increased use of mobile banking and payment platforms; this will help in providing services to people who didn’t have an access to banking services and help in financial inclusion which is important for economic growth and for eradicating poverty. \nTechnology can also be used to improve transparency and accountability in finance. Blockchain technology can help reduce fraud and corruption by creating a secure and transparent ledger of financial transactions. This can improve trust in financial institutions and increase the efficiency of financial systems. As more and more transactions are happening online it’s important to the adoption of eKYC and biometric authentication needs increase\, in no time biometrics might negate the facial recognition tool for consumer interaction. \nNumerous lending in order to quickly penetrate the market and make the introduction of digital lending products simple\, NBFCs are also considering implementing Bank in a Box solutions. Some of these institutions are utilizing the SaaS model\, which considerably lowers their capital outlay. \nRobo advisers are the next stage in the advancement of asset management and investment planning\, particularly pushed by millennials. For wealth management companies that target both mass market and well-known individuals\, providing digital assistance has become an important requirement. Thanks to robo-advisors\, investment management is now available to a wider spectrum of people\, including those with less financial experience or lower incomes. \nTechnology can be used to promote sustainable business practices\, companies can use data analytics to track and reduce their carbon footprint or implement circular economy strategies to reduce waste and promote resource efficiency. Players in the fintech sector in India should aim to utilize the current IT ecosystem to produce some successful examples of sustained development for financial institutions. These use cases may pave the way for Indian fintech companies and IT companies to expand internationally. By leveraging technology to promote sustainable business practices\, companies can reduce their environmental impact and contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive future. \n\n\nWebsite
