SUMMARY:14th National Finance Konclave
DESCRIPTION:EVENT INTRODUCTION 14th National Finance Konclave\n\nBuilding a Sustainable Inclusive Future -A Finance Perspective\n\n\n\nTechnology has been a driving agent in building a financial ecosystem that is creating a drastic change in terms of innovation through technology. In the emerging world of technology-driven financial assistance\, no commercial entity can afford to operate in isolation. Creating a sustainable and inclusive economy demands a collective effort from all stakeholders. The development of an ecosystem that gives individuals the chance to use financial instruments in their ordinary routine and allows banks to effectively utilize the growth of fintech and non-financial firms operating within those remote locations is expected to be a major driver of financial inclusion in India. \nFintech has the potential to increase capital access for both banked and unbanked populations and help in liberalizing financial services. Considering the favorable response of the historical cash-based Indian economy to the fintech opportunity seen in increased acceptance and use of e-commerce and smartphones. Fintech has also led to increased use of mobile banking and payment platforms; this will help in providing services to people who didn’t have an access to banking services and help in financial inclusion which is important for economic growth and for eradicating poverty. \nTechnology can also be used to improve transparency and accountability in finance. Blockchain technology can help reduce fraud and corruption by creating a secure and transparent ledger of financial transactions. This can improve trust in financial institutions and increase the efficiency of financial systems. As more and more transactions are happening online it’s important to the adoption of eKYC and biometric authentication needs increase\, in no time biometrics might negate the facial recognition tool for consumer interaction. \nNumerous lending in order to quickly penetrate the market and make the introduction of digital lending products simple\, NBFCs are also considering implementing Bank in a Box solutions. Some of these institutions are utilizing the SaaS model\, which considerably lowers their capital outlay. \nRobo advisers are the next stage in the advancement of asset management and investment planning\, particularly pushed by millennials. For wealth management companies that target both mass market and well-known individuals\, providing digital assistance has become an important requirement. Thanks to robo-advisors\, investment management is now available to a wider spectrum of people\, including those with less financial experience or lower incomes. \nTechnology can be used to promote sustainable business practices\, companies can use data analytics to track and reduce their carbon footprint or implement circular economy strategies to reduce waste and promote resource efficiency. Players in the fintech sector in India should aim to utilize the current IT ecosystem to produce some successful examples of sustained development for financial institutions. These use cases may pave the way for Indian fintech companies and IT companies to expand internationally. By leveraging technology to promote sustainable business practices\, companies can reduce their environmental impact and contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive future. \n\n\nWebsite

SUMMARY:14th National Marketing Konclave
DESCRIPTION:EVENT INTRODUCTION 14th National Marketing Konclave\n\nBuilding a Sustainable Inclusive Future: Addressing Consumer Priorities in the New Era\n\n\n\nIn recent years\, the topic of sustainability and inclusivity has gained traction in both the public and private sectors. As consumers become more aware of the impact of their purchases on the environment and society\, businesses are adapting their practices to meet these changing consumer demands\, resulting in a shift towards a more sustainable and inclusivebusiness products as well as practices. \nAccording to a report by McKinsey & Company\, the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend\, with consumers now placing even more importance on sustainability and social responsibility when making purchasing decisions. The report found that 64% of consumers worldwide now consider acompany’s environmental and social impact when making purchases\, up from 50% in 2019. Additionally\, 75% of consumers are willing to pay more for sustainable products\, up from 66% in 2019.To meet suchevolving consumer demands\, businesses are taking a more holistic approach to sustainability and inclusivity. According to a report by Boston Consulting Group\, companies are integrating sustainability into their core business strategies and focusing on creating value for all stakeholders\, including employees\, customers\, communities\, and the environment. This approach\,known as “creating shared value\,” is becoming increasingly popular among businesses as they realize that sustainability and inclusivity is critical for creating long-term business value. \nTherefore\, the theme of the 14th National Marketing Konclave organized by KIIT School of Management (KSOM) is “Building a sustainable inclusive future: Addressing Consumer priorities in the new era”to deliberate on the paradigm shifts happening in the business world. The issue is even more critical for today’s students who are the future business leaders since the younger generation is more concerned about sustainability and social responsibility\, and they seek to work for companies that share these values. Hence\, building a sustainable inclusive future is a pressing issue that requires attention from businesses\, consumers\, and academia. As the world moves towards a more sustainable and equitable future\, KSOM aims to create awareness\, generate interest\, and provide a discussion platform on this theme and subsequently prepare its students to become responsible and ethical leaders. \n\n\nWebsite

SUMMARY:4th National Rural Management Konclave
DESCRIPTION:Learning gives creativity\, creativity leads to thinking\, thinking provides knowledge\, and knowledge makes you great.” -Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. \n\nOver last 75 years\, there has been a transformation in rural life and livelihoods through different initiatives of facilitating agencies including government\, NGOs and corporate bodies. There is a shift in perspectives of empowerment and development on rural issues. Besides\, ‘women empowerment’ is being considered as one of the important cross-cutting areas of development. Similarly\, ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR)\, as a supplement to government’s development intervention\, has been recognised as one of the catalysts in socio-economic and environmental transformation especially for the poor and marginalised section of population in rural areas. \nHowever\, the current rural scenario demands a lot of efforts with appropriate strategies in accelerating the development interventions and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in inclusive manner. In this context\, the following two themes seem to be very pertinent for this 4th National Rural Management Conclave 2023: Empowerment of Rural Women for Sustainable Development; and CSR and Rural Development \n\n\nThe overall objective of the conclave is to bring development/business practitioners\, academicians and students to a common platform and discourse on various challenges and way forward with special reference to ‘Women Empowerment and Sustainable Development’ and ‘Rural Development through CSR initiatives’.\n\nWebsite

SUMMARY:4th National Business Analytics Konclave
DESCRIPTION:EVENT INTRODUCTION 4th National Business Analytics Konclave\n\nBuilding a Sustainable Inclusive Future: Industrial Challenges & Opportunities in Analytics\n\n\nOver the last 20 years\, the field of business analytics has seen significant advances and has transformed the way businesses operate and make decisions.\n\nOne of the most significant advances in business analytics has been the advent of big data technologies. With the explosion of data in recent years\, businesses have had to find new ways to store\, process\, and analyze vast amounts of data. This has led to the development of technologies such as Hadoop\, Spark\, and NoSQL databases\, which have made it possible to store and process massive amounts of data efficiently.\n\nAnother major development in the field of business analytics has been the rise of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). Machine learning algorithms are now being used to make predictions and recommendations based on data\, and AI-powered systems are being used to automate a variety of tasks. This has led to significant improvements in areas such as customer service\, fraud detection\, and supply chain optimization.\n\nThe rise of cloud computing has also had a significant impact on business analytics. Cloud-based analytics platforms have made it possible for businesses to access powerful analytics tools without having to invest in expensive hardware or software. This has democratized access to analytics\, making it possible for even small businesses to leverage the power of data to make informed decisions.\n\nOne of the most exciting developments in recent years has been the rise of generative AI\, such as ChatGPT.\n\nThese algorithms are capable of generating new content\, such as text or images\, that is indistinguishable from content created by humans. This has opened up new possibilities for applications such as natural language processing\, content creation\, and even gaming. Overall\, the development of analytics tools has been driven by the need to solve complex problems and make better decisions based on data. From the Enigma machine to generative AIs\, these tools have transformed the way we approach analytics and opened up new possibilities for the future.\n\nThe 4th National Business Analytics Conclave at KIIT School of Management\, KIIT Deemed to be University would provide a forum to debate these aspects. The conclave will have one-panel discussion on ‘Business Transformations with the Adoption of Analytics’ and an array of workshops to discuss various aspects of the theme. DESCRIPTION:EVENT INTRODUCTION 14th National HR Konclave\n\nBuilding a sustainable inclusive future – the role of business: – Leveraging HR Technology for competitive advantage\n\n\nThe time to discuss sustainable\, inclusive growth is always propitious. The tone for the next decade of growth can be set by the role played by business in building a sustainable inclusive future. The pandemic has highlighted the world’s need and ability to build global partnerships and collaborations to overcome common challenges. One salient undisputed common challenge is moving beyond elementary economic growth towards prioritizing and focusing on sustainable and inclusive growth. \n\nThe critical enablers of sustainability and inclusivity are universal partnerships for fair trade\, climate transitions\, foreign direct investments and humanitarian relief\, customer requirements\, business acumen among other driving forces. The role of business is augmented by such enablers. The prime role of business today is to co-create innovations and establish appropriate policies towards greater sustainability and inclusivity. For small businesses and large corporations alike\, the human resources department is important for business success. Effective human resources in a business can help develop a company’s strategy\, the organization’s employee engagement activities and the overall company culture. HR plays a key role in developing\, reinforcing and changing the culture of an organisation. The world of work has changed and shifted over time. The future of work is being talked about at large. It refers to informed perspectives that businesses need to know about how work has shifted and shall continue to do so\, given technology and digitalization trends; plus how businesses and workforce are dealing with such shifts \nTechnological transformation has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Emerging technologies have the potential to bring considerable economic benefits and new opportunities. But they entail disruptive adjustments and require ambitious policies for the future world of work\, jobs and skills\, to ensure inclusivity and sustainability. Knowledge management\, backed up by strategic leadership\, can provide tactical instruments for achieving sustainable competitive advantage in such an environment. HR makes an important contribution to knowledge management simply because knowledge is shared between people. Even India’s G20 presidency is aimed at fostering digital transformation which will include digital economy\, digital education\, digital health\, digital government and digital finance. India will work towards bridging the digital divide and ensuring that everyone has access to digital technology. B20\, the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community also centers round the overall vision of ‘RAISE: Responsible\, Accelerated\, Innovative\, Sustainable and Equitable Businesses’. \nHR Konclave

SUMMARY:National Seminar on Open Source Movement: What Next
DESCRIPTION:Open Source Initiative: What NextThe Open Source Initiative (OSI) was instrumental in the formalization of the open-source movement. In February 1998\, the open-source movement was adopted\, formalized\, and spearheaded by the Open Source Initiative (OSI)\, an organization formed to market software “as something more amenable to commercial business use. The software developments that have come out of the open-source movement have not been unique to the computer-science field\, but they have been successful in developing alternatives to proprietary software. Members of the open-source community improve upon code and write programs that can rival much of the Proprietary software that is already available. The purpose behind the open source movement is to promote business\, economics and free and easy access of information resources to academics. Keeping the objectives in mind this national seminar sets its theme\, “Open Source Movement: What Next”. The goal of the seminar is to provide a glimpse of future scenario of information management\, acquisition\, preservation and control in regard to the latest trends and future dimensions of open access movement. It is a million dollar question how library and information scientists will transcend to the next higher level embracing the platform of open access moment. What could be the next developments and explorations to get ocean of information to the finger tips of each information seeker\, teacher\, student\, and research scholar? This burning theme is the need of the hour and a topic that stimulates debates and discussions. The seminar intends to have insightful deliberations from the experts in the field of LIS\, renowned academicians and veteran library scientists for the greater benefits of library professionals working in different institutions across the country. \nDownload the Brochure
