SUMMARY:Khelo India - University Games 2020
DESCRIPTION:Khelo India University Games will witness over 4000 athletes from 100 Universities across India vying for top honours in 17 different disciplines namely archery\, athletics\, boxing\, fencing\, judo\, swimming\, weightlifting\, wrestling\, badminton\, basketball\, football\, hockey\, table tennis\, tennis\, volleyball\, rugby and kabaddi. \nKhelo India University Games is a part of the revamped national programme for the development of sports\, Khelo India. SUMMARY:National Seminar on Inclusiveness of the Differently Abled: Challenges and Opportunities in India
DESCRIPTION:Leaving no one behind itself draws our attention to the one of the most vulnerable sections of the society\, the differently-abled persons. Safeguarding their interests requires an entitlement monitoring of their actual needs rather than generalizing them with that of a common man. Given the fact that 2.68 crore population in India are affected by different forms of disabilities\, it is extremely vital that the design\, structure\, plan and implementation process of our schemes\, policies and programmes ensure cent percent inclusion of the differently abled persons living across all corners of our country. The fact that the PwDs are the most stringent victims of poverty and malnourishment also cannot be avoided. They are the worst sufferers of health hazards\, educational backwardness and remain economically down trodden. SUMMARY:Mega Naturopathy Camp
DESCRIPTION:Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary is being celebrated by Ministry of AYUSH\, Govt. of India in the spirit of gratitude and inspiration to his contribution to humanity for promoting and practicing the basic human values such as Non-violence\, Nature Cure\, Sanitation and Health etc.  To mark the occasion Ministry of AYUSH is conducting 150 Nisargopchar Mahotsav across the country. In Odisha the programme is going to be held at KIIT University\, Bhubaneswar. The theme of the Nisargopchar Mahotsav is ‘Self Reliance through Self Health Reliance”\, a quote of Mahatma Gandhiji. \nThis Mahotsav is meant for the general public awareness and will be attended by Yoga and Naturopathy students\, physicians\, academicians and all naturopathy enthusiasts. The event shall host a multimedia relay/ screening  on Mahatma Gandhi and posters on Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution to the system of Nature Cure for the entire day of the camp. Parallel sessions for the public will be conducted by Naturopaths and eminent Gandhians from the locality to emphasise the importance of the Gandhian principle\, ‘Self Reliance through self health Reliance’\, the theme of the Mega Naturopathy Camp. \nParticipants interested to join are intimated to  mail their request to: bbkarfch@kiit.ac.in
