The ICPEE-2021 was technically sponsored by IEEE Kolkata Section and IEEE IAS Society. The 2nd International conference on Power Electronics and Energy (ICPEE 2023) to be conducted by School of Electrical Engineering and IEEE Bhubaneswar Sub-section in 2023 from 3rd Jan. to 5th Jan. The main aim of this international conference is to bring researchers from all the esteemed institutes of the World. Along with researchers the professionals and executives from energy sector\, manufacturing industries\, electrical power companies are invited to share ideas and information pertaining to recent development area of Power Electronics and Energy. \nAbout the SchoolKIIT\, Deemed to be University\, formerly Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology\, is a co-educational\, autonomous university located at middle heart of Temple city Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Odisha. The University offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Engineering\, Bio-technology\, Medicine\, Management\, Law\, Computer application\, Rural management\, Fashion\, Film Studies\, Journalism and Sculpturing. It was one of the youngest institutions to be awarded the deemed university status in India and then the University status in 2004. The School of Electrical Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing Engineers and Scientists of highest caliber since its inception in the year 1997. At present\, it offers Under Graduate\, Post Graduate and Ph.D. programs in Electrical Engineering to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electrical Engineering such as Power Electronics and Drives\, Power & Energy System and Power System Engineering. The School is having a vibrant atmosphere due to the combination of input of brilliant students\, availability of outstanding faculty members and innovative research work in all areas of Electrical Engineering. The icing on the cake is the accreditation of the School by NAAC\, NBA (Washington accord) Tier-I and UGC. \nGeneral Information\n\n\nInternational IEEE Conference of two days titled “Power Electronics and Energy” will be held in School of Electrical Engineering\, KIIT\, Deemed to be University on 3rd-5th January\, 2023. KIIT Deemed to be University is situated in the middle heart of Temple City Bhubaneswar. The Biju Patnaik International Airport situated here which links very well to all over the World. SUMMARY:KIIT UMAP Discovery Winter Camp 2023
DESCRIPTION:KIIT & KISS in collaboration with UMAP will be hosting UMAP Discovery Winter Camp 2023UMAP Discovery Camp 2030: Future is now will majorly focus on SDGS related to EEE i.e Equality\, Energy and Environment. KIIT and KISS at the forefront of sustainability work in teaching and research\, the university has been highly ranked three years in a row in Times Higher Education’s ranking for its work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. KIIT has recently been placed in the cohort of 600-800 in World University ranking 2023 by Times Higher Education. Students from all UMAP member universities are welcome to work in teams at KIIT and KISS University to address real life challenges related to SDGs such as: Reduced inequality\, Affordable and clean Energy\, Sustainable production and consumption\, and strong\, democratic and engaging institutions for all. The winter camp aims to facilitate student-community involvement\, enhance intercultural skills\, and build relationships between participants from different cultures. Our social programme will include a welcome and farewell ceremony as well as day trips and social activities\, allowing students to experience sustainability initiatives. Students will learn through lectures on each topic which will majorly include sessions on- \n\nOverview of progress towards the agenda 2030 and the SDGs\nInequality and indigenous experience\nImplementation of practical energy efficiency measures\nEnvironment protection and Sustainability \n\nCamp Features\n\nIndividualised hands-on activities\, games\, and competitions\nSocietal Factors: global\, social\, economic\, and environmental impact\nCommunity engagement Sessions\nExcursion to local areas\nAC room-sharing accommodations are available in campus \n\nDiscovery Camp Information\nIf your institution is a member of UMAP\, the program fees will be fully paid by host institution (KIIT & KISS) for each selected student. The Winter Discovery Camp program fee includes accommodation\, food\, and program activities. \nStudents need only pay for transportation to/from the program destination\, visas\, insurance (travel/health if required) and personal expenses. \nEligibility\n\nOpen for all students of UMAP Member universities only. SUMMARY:Fifth GNI Data Dialogue to be held at School of Mass Communication\, KIIT-DU
DESCRIPTION:Data Dialogue\, an interactive workshop exploring the intersection of data journalism and responsible data practices\, will be held on January 13\, 2023 at the KSOM Auditorium\, Campus 7 of KIIT Deemed To Be University (KIIT-DU) in Bhubaneswar\, India. The event is organized by the Google News India (GNI) Initiative Network\, led by Data LEADS\, and is being held in partnership with the School of Mass Communication at KIIT-DU. \nThe event will feature a range of panel discussions\, workshop\, and talks from leading experts in the fields of data journalism and data ethics. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from and engage with these experts\, as well as network with their peers from the media and journalism industry. Moreover\, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and best practices in data-driven journalism and marketing\, and will also have the chance to network with their peers and make valuable connections. \n\nSome of the key topics that will be explored at the event include:\nThe role of data in modern journalism\nBest practices for using data responsibly in reporting\nThe ethical considerations involved in collecting\, using\, and sharing data\nThe importance of transparency and accountability in data journalism\n\nThe event will be inaugurated by Eminent Educationist and Honorable Founder of KIIT & KISS Prof. Achyuta Samanta in the august presence of Prof. Sasmita Samanta\, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU\, Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty\, Registrar\, KIIT-DU\, Prof. Mrinal Chatterjee\, Regional Director\, IIMC Dhenkanal\, and representatives from GNI\, DataLEADS and School of Mass Communication.
