DESCRIPTION:OverviewIn collaboration with Orissa Chemical Society (OCS)\, KIIT DU is going to organize the “2nd OCS-INDUSTRY INTERFACE MEET 2024” on the theme\, “Bridging Academia and Industry: Advancing Chemistry for Sustainable Innovation” on 07.12.2024 at KIIT University\, Bhubaneswar. Industry Interface Meet program is an initiative of Orissa Chemical society with a moto to create an awareness on the Industry-academia relationship and provide a forum to the faculty members/ scientists/ young researchers/students to think about the collaborative programmes for the sustainability of applied chemistry. Through this programme OCS is interested in creating a research spark among the students and aligning them towards the applied & innovative research. Delegates from various renowned industries and prestigious organizations have given their kind consent to be a part of this event. Department of Chemistry\, School of Applied sciences\, KIIT DU is delighted to host this event at our University. \nAbout Orissa Chemical Society\n\nOrissa Chemical Society was established in the year 1985 with Prof. Mahendra Kumar Rout as it’s Founder President. The aim and the objectives of OCS are: (i) to promote\, improve the standard of teaching and research in Chemistry and allied science in Odisha\, (ii) to organize conferences and symposium for further improvements in teaching and research in Chemistry. (iii) to create public awareness regarding the environmental impacts of the use of various chemicals in our daily lives\, (iv) to bring out the journal/ magazine in chemistry\, and (v) to popularize the discipline of chemistry. It emerges as a premier chemical science organization envisions in the country with many more activities catering to the needs of chemical scientists in interdisciplinary fields\, with a slogan “Excellence in Teaching and Research“. Jointly organized by the School of Applied Sciences at KIIT\, the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI)—one of the oldest interdisciplinary research organizations—and CSIR-IMMT\, Bhubaneswar\, this prestigious conference will take place from 20th to 22nd December 2024. \nESMAC-2024 aims to bring together a diverse group of senior and young scientists to engage in thought-provoking discussions\, share insights\, and address challenges in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
