Student Grievance Redressal

KIIT is committed to maintaining an environment where students feel safe, respected, and supported.The purpose of this cell is to ensure that all enrolled students, have a fair, transparent, and timely mechanism to raise grievances, seek redressal relating to following matters.

A student grievance is any concern, issue or complaint related to

  • Academic matters (exam evaluation, delays, mentorship, teaching quality)

  • Admission, registration & curriculum issues

  • Fee payment, refunds, scholarships / financial assistance

  • Facilities: hostel, mess/canteen, transport, library, labs, IT services

  • Student welfare: counselling, health services, extra-curricular, sports

  • Harassment, bullying, discrimination (including gender, caste, religion, sexual identity, disability)

  • Violations of student code of conduct or policies

  • Any action or inaction by university staff or authorities which adversely affects student rights

How to Submit a Grievance

    Who can submit?

  • Currently enrolled students of KIIT
  • Former / alumni students (if grievance pertains to their student tenure)
  • Student representatives or parents (with consent of student, where All student grievances at KIIT must be submitted only through the official Online Grievance Redressal Portal.

Instruction for Students

  • Log in to the portal with your KIIT credentials.

  • Fill in all mandatory details:

  • Name, Roll Number, email address

  • Department/Hostel details

  • Contact information (email/phone)

  • Subject & detailed description of the grievance

  • Upload supporting documents, if any

  • Submit the form and note the unique grievance IDfor tracking.

Track Your Grievance

  • You can log in anytime to check the status of your grievance using the grievance ID.
  • Updates and resolutions will also be communicated via your registered email.

  • Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) mandatorily includes an Ombudsperson.

  • Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) for sexual harassment / gender discrimination issues

  • Counselling & Support Unit to provide emotional / psychological support during grievance process

Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

KIIT -Deemed to be University has established a dedicated Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC), aimed at addressing and resolving students’ concerns and grievances in a constructive and genuine manner. This committee is integral to fostering a fair, unbiased, and positive academic atmosphere within the university. The SGRC operates with a commitment to confidentiality, ensuring that all grievances are investigated thoroughly and impartially.

The process undertaken by the SGRC at KIIT involves a detailed analysis of the grievances’ nature and patterns, ensuring that each issue is understood in its entirety. This comprehensive approach allows the committee to address underlying issues effectively and propose solutions that align with the university’s values of fairness and student welfare. Additionally, KIIT’s SGRC places a strong emphasis on preventative measures, working to identify potential areas of concern before they escalate into larger issues.

Through its diligent work, the SGRC at KIIT not only resolves individual grievances but also contributes to the continuous improvement of the educational environment, making it more conducive to learning and personal development.
