    GIP Process (High – Level)

    Step 1: Programme Announcement and Communication

    Programme Announcement: KIIT announces the GIP programme through various channels, including the university website, social media, and email notifications.
    Briefing Sessions: KIIT hosts information sessions for interested students, providing an overview of the programme, eligibility criteria, and application process.

    Step 2: Application submission

    a) For students: An initial google form will be circulated and students need to fill up the google form giving their consent to participate in the program along with their basic details.
    b) Faculty-Student-University Mapping: The GIP Selection Committee maps selected students with partner universities and one faculty/Senior Administrative staff will be assigned to a group of students (15 students will have one reporting authority).

    Step 3: Approval and Selection

    Application Review & Screening: The GIP selection committee reviews applications, evaluating students’ academic performance, language proficiency, and personal statements.

    Shortlisting: The selection committee shortlists candidates for interviews, based on their application materials. Personal Interactions: Shortlisted students participate in personal interactions with the selection committee, discussing their motivations, goals, and expectations for the GIP program

    Step 4: Pre-Departure Orientation and Preparation

    Pre-Departure Orientation: KIIT hosts a series of pre-departure orientation for selected faculties and students, providing information on cultural adaptation, academic expectations, and logistical arrangements.


    Visa Application:
    Group Visa application process guidance will be provided by KIIT International Relations Office.

    Travel Arrangements: Guidance for group travel arrangements (flight booking , travel and medical insurance, accommodation) will be provided by KIIT International Relations Office in coordination with the concerned faculty.

    Step 5: GIP Programme Implementation (Semester/Quarter)

    Academic Program: Students participate in academic programs at partner universities, and immerse themselves in local cultures.

    Cultural Activities: Students engage in cultural activities, such as language classes, cultural workshops, and community service projects.

    Step 6: Return and Reflection

    Reflection and Evaluation: Students reflect on their GIP experiences, evaluating the programme’s impact on their academic, personal, and professional growth.


    Feedback and Assessment:
    KIIT Visiting Faculty Program office collects feedback from students, partner universities, and stakeholders, assessing the programme’s effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.

    GIP Completion Certificate:

    1. Immersion Certificate – Issued by the host university, recognizing your participation in an international learning experience.
    2. Internship Certificate – Awarded by KIIT University, validating your global

    FINACIAL MODEL

    Global Immersion Programme fees apply to all participating students (based on the actuals)* which includes travel, visa, insurance, tuition fees, food, local transport and accommodation costs.

    NOTE: KIIT shall be negotiating with partner foreign college/university for a subsidized tuition fees as compared to the regular retail model existing in the market. *Which will depend on the Continent/ University/number of days and will vary from INR 1 Lakh to 4 Lakhs.

    Programme Duration

    The Global Immersion Programme (GIP) will take place during the summer season (May-June) for 2 weeks.


    ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY &
    LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

    • Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate programs at KIIT.

    • Students must have a goodcommand over the English language.

    • Students must have a minimumCGPA of 6 or above (on a scale of10) no backlog condition.


    BEHAVIORAL &
    DISCIPLINE

    • Students must have a good disciplinary record and good conduct at KIIT, with no outstanding disciplinary actions or penalties.

    • Students must demonstrate a strong commitment to the program’s goalsand objectives, and must be willing toadhere to the program’s rules and regulations.


    HEALTH

     

    • PROFICIENCYStudents must be in goodp hysical and mental health, and must be able to adapt to new environments and cultures.

    • Students should adhere to thehealth advisory of the respective country.


    PASSPORT &
    VISA

    • Students must hold a valid passport with a minimum validity of nine months from the date of application.

    • Students must be eligible to obtain a visa for the host country (if required).
