About the Conference
Tthe International Conference on Utilization of Indigenous Knowledge of PVTGs for an Inclusive Viksit Bharat Development aims to highlight the significance of safeguarding the cultural heritage and traditions of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in India, focusing on pathways for sustainable heritage development. PVTGs possess rich traditional knowledge, ecological wisdom, and unique cultural practices that are essential to their identity and social cohesion. However, these cultural elements face threats from rapid modernization, socio-economic challenges, and environmental changes.
The conference will convene experts, policymakers, and indigenous community leaders to discuss effective approaches for cultural preservation and sustainable development. Key themes will include the protection of indigenous languages, traditional knowledge systems, and cultural practices, as well as community-driven development models that prioritize the needs and values of PVTGs. Participants will explore case studies, policy frameworks, and collaborative strategies to ensure that PVTG heritage is both preserved and revitalized, fostering resilience and sustainable growth for generations to come.
