Experiential Learning in Global Supply Chain Management with University of Washington-Bothell (UWB)

The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology hosted an 18-member delegation from the University of Washington-Bothell (UWB) on a 10-day visit to the campus. The visit combined collaborative teaching, active problem-solving, and hands-on learning through cross-cultural academic partnerships. Eleven students and two faculty members from UWB worked alongside 11 students from KIIT School of Management (KSOM) on a Field Study Practicum, analysing real-world business challenges faced by a local business group, leveraging their combined expertise to develop sustainable solutions. Meanwhile, another five UWB faculty members who were part of the delegation conducted lectures and knowledge exchange sessions across various schools at KIIT and KISS. In this program, the students from UWB and KSOM earned course credits as per their own institution’s rules and regulations.
