Data Dialogue, an interactive workshop exploring the intersection of data journalism and responsible data practices, will be held on January 13, 2023 at the KSOM Auditorium, Campus 7 of KIIT Deemed To Be University (KIIT-DU) in Bhubaneswar, India. The event is organized by the Google News India (GNI) Initiative Network, led by Data LEADS, and is being held in partnership with the School of Mass Communication at KIIT-DU.
The event will feature a range of panel discussions, workshop, and talks from leading experts in the fields of data journalism and data ethics. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from and engage with these experts, as well as network with their peers from the media and journalism industry. Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and best practices in data-driven journalism and marketing, and will also have the chance to network with their peers and make valuable connections.

- The ethical considerations involved in collecting, using, and sharing data
- The importance of transparency and accountability in data journalism
The event will be inaugurated by Eminent Educationist and Honorable Founder of KIIT & KISS Prof. Achyuta Samanta in the august presence of Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU, Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU, Prof. Mrinal Chatterjee, Regional Director, IIMC Dhenkanal, and representatives from GNI, DataLEADS and School of Mass Communication. The workshop will be attended by over 350 participants from media organizations, journalism schools, and civil society organizations.
