This policy applies to all the students, research scholars, staff members of the University and visitors.
The Purpose of the policy is to provide smoke free atmosphere and ambience to all stakeholders.
Smoking is not permitted in any campus across the University including hostels nor the use any type of nicotine products.
Consumption/ possession of alcohol, smoking or use of tobacco, narcotic drugs, possession of lethal weapons or inflammable materials and the related products.
Members are expected to take steps to ensure the policy is made aware to the visitors and complied with. Steps may include requesting a visitor not to smoke, or asking a visitor to leave any campus or facility should they wish to smoke.
Joint Registrar (Administration) is responsible for monitoring compliance with this policy, reporting the breaches and providing solutions.
Any breaches by the student and staff member may result in disciplinary action under the requisite University Code of Conduct.
